Global Music
Sometimes music is the medicine that our soul needs. It helps us to relax our minds. Personally, I love to listen to any kind of music, but especially the music that has strong healing power. I also enjoy listening to music from our country as well as from other countries, like Hindi songs and English songs. There are lots of English songs on my favorite song list. Some examples include "Ride It" by Jay Sean, "Faded" by Alan Walker, "Broken Angel" by Ellie Goulding, "Let Me Down" by Alec Benjamin, "Baby" by Justin Bieber, and more. I don't have any favorite singers, but if a song fits me, then the singer will become one of my favorite singers.
When it comes to Sri Lankan music, we have a lot to talk about. Actually, we have our own traditional music with traditional instruments. And we also have modern instrumental music too. Some traditional instruments include gata bera, magul bera, maddala, udekki, daula, tammattama (kind of drums), Sisiraya (wind instrument), and Gahana (metal percussion). There are many types of Sri Lankan music, such as Balila (a style of music derived from Portuguese ballads), Hindustani classical local drama music, South Indian classical music, Western classical music, Sinhala light music, and more. There are lots of songs in our country now with relaxing melodies. If you are interested in our songs, I can recommend some songs for you to listen to. I don't know whether they are available in your country or not, but if you are interested, you can give them a try!I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
