Modern History
Ronald Reagan famously advocated for equality of opportunity. Indeed, it is now a goal that nearly all governments strive for. Here in China, we have made huge strides in that department by strengthening the rule of law and ensuring testing integrity in national exams, especially in the College Entrance Exam (Gaokao). On these few days, no matter who you are, or how rich your parents are, you take the same exam. There's no leaking of the Gaokao since its reintroduction following the reform and opening up. The exam questions are kept as "jue mi" or top-secret in designated locations with armed escorts, testing sites, teachers who come up with the test, and workers in the printing factories are locked into their respective sites for weeks or months prior to the exam to prevent leaks without access to outside links.
