Stories vary from scary poems to sad tragedies, bringing various feelings to us readers. A famous story containing the theme of disasters and plagues is always referred to as a perfect material that implies that humans could be fairly unfortunate but brave. Nevertheless, the story I am sharing is different from the version in the Bible. It changes from the component in the game called “Island of Heaven”. Jacobo was boating toward an island he lived on before. His family made the island home, however, Jacobo could only remember the death of his mother when he was 10 years old in 1944, preparing to leave for the new place in this home. There was nothing but the cold winds buffeting the old plants when he reached the island in 1955. His feet edged towards the house gate; he noticed that the land had been suffering from the plague of blood. His father encountered horrible things, which made Jacobo hunt for the plants to make medicine. During the hunting, the second plague contributed to increasing the number of frogs instantly and enormously. The home was getting weird, and the truth of the mother’s death was slowly revealed as the plague increased. When the fifth plague approached the island, Jacobo found a critical clue which interpreted that the death had not been an accident caused by disasters. It seemed that her death was a well-prepared murder. He, his brothers, and his sisters were barely fighting against the plague while looking for the ultimate truth. A paper written in 1466 inside the family’s ancient chest read that there was a dangerous behavior that lengthened human life, but it would take a high price. After 6 months, the land succeeded in surviving under the great pressure of ten plagues, which included the chaos of the bugs, the bothering, and the occupying of the flies, etc. The truth showed up in 1956. The spring came and the oldest son, Jacobo, announced that his mother’s death was made by a predictor, which held the firm belief that the sacrifice could bring infinity in lives and peace. Previously, in 1944, Jacobo was forced by the predictor to be killed. However, his mother’s kindness and love let her save her oldest son. She had been ready to die for her Jacobo and told him that he should escape the island. Nature had its own rules and principles, so the plagues were always there to deliver the punishments to the predictor and his helpers. Jacobo was secured by his great mother and ran away facing the dilemmas in 1944.Now he could remember everything and he led everyone on the island to be against the plagues. The pains disappeared forever and the plagues in people’s minds were also killed by the unfortunate but brave humans living on the island. You can find the original on the internet. I adjusted the story because the original was not fitted for us high school students. But both expanded versions were originated from the Bible.
