Chinese New Year

In ancient China, the best manifestation of the Spring Festival was often associated with a large and affluent family.

Following the traditional ancestral worship, everyone gathers to share a meal, express love, and exchange greetings. It appears that ancient Chinese believed that only through such celebrations could they bring closure to the joys and

sorrows of the past year, while simultaneously offering their best wishes for the future.

However, as modern civilization increasingly impacts our lives, individuals in contemporary Chinese society must consider how to navigate the scrutiny of relatives and shed outdated traditions. In my opinion, the Spring Festival of today should minimize unnecessary customs and instead focus on the core spirit of the festival – love, respect, and support among people.
