Sri Lanka is a land of palatable curries and rice. Many popular traditional Sri Lankan dishes are spicy. Rice and curry are the main staple of the Sri Lankan diet. We like to add spice to our foods, such as cinnamon, pepper, curry leaves, lemongrass, cloves, cardamom, chili, cumin, coriander, and ginger. When we speak about Sri Lankan foods, we can't forget about Koththu Roti. I think it is one of the best Sri Lankan street foods you can have when you visit here. There are many types of Koththu Roti, such as roasted chicken, vegetarian, egg, cheese, and beef [koththu roti] We eat this with a spicy chicken curry. It is prepared using a flat, crispy bread we call "Godamba roti" It is deep-fried and chopped. Now I will tell you the recipe for this. ❇Instructions: ❇Ingredients: vegetable oil, onion, garlic, ginger, leeks, cabbage, pepper, chicken, carrots, eggs, cheese, chopped roti (if you can't find roti, just make a flatbread but it should be fried). - Heat vegetable oil and then add onion, ginger, and garlic. - Add all chopped vegetables, salt, chicken (which should be boiled and cut into small pieces before adding), and eggs. If desired, add cheese. - Add curry sauce (to make this, cook curry with curry powder, chicken, and pepper). - Then add all chopped roti and mix well. Cook for about 5 minutes and serve while hot with curry sauce. If you'd like to try this, give it a shot. It will be one of the best foods you've tasted.
