My English Learning Journey
When I was young, I embarked on my journey of learning English, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Since English is one of the
two national languages of Kenya, I began speaking it in my early years. Later on, I realized that English is a universal language spoken by people all over the world,
and I understood that learning it would open up countless opportunities for me.
School played a huge role in this journey. I studied English as a subject from my first class in primary school until my final class in high school. My favorite
moments were when we would read books and poems and discuss them in class. In school, it was mandatory to speak in English, and those who failed to do so
were sometimes punished. Therefore, I devoted myself to studying English every day, reading, writing, and speaking it as much as possible. I watched English
movies and TV shows, read English books, and listened to English songs. I kept pushing myself to learn more and improve my skills, as consistency leads to
mastery. Now, I can communicate with native English speakers with ease, read and understand English books without difficulty, and write essays and reports with
confidence. My hard work has paid off, and I am grateful for all the people who helped me along the way.
Learning English has been a game-changer for me. It's amazing how much it has opened doors for me and allowed me to connect with people from all over the
globe. I have had the opportunity to meet and communicate with my global friends using English.
If you're considering learning English, I highly encourage you to go for it! You won't regret it, I promise. The benefits are truly endless.
