English is my second language, with Lithuanian being my mother tongue. I

have been learning English for 8 years now, since I started school. When

Covid and quarantine began, I spent more time online watching YouTube and

other content, which significantly improved my English. During that period,

I also found some global pen pals, with whom I still stay in touch. Knowing

English has helped me to facilitate my learning process and connect with

people from diverse backgrounds. It has made me realize the differences

between languages; for example, in Lithuanian, there is no word for 'siblings'.
