World Literature
German literature is very diverse, and many books deal with difficult conditions and finding ways to cope with them, as well as the well-known topic of love.
Nevertheless, as in every country, we have various types of books that cover a wide range of topics. Classic literature is particularly famous, with renowned
authors such as Friedrich Schiller, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Franz Kafka, Thomas Mann, and Theodor Fontane. These authors are well-known worldwide, and their works continue to inspire many people. Modern German literature also includes a common genre: funny books. If you have pets, love cats, or simply enjoy humorous literature, the book "Ich bin hier bloß die Katze" (translated as "Here, I'm only the cat") is perfect for you. It presents a family situation from the perspective of the most important family member, the cat Ilsebill. This book is suitable for children and can also be enjoyed by someone learning German. However, it's especially appealing to cat owners. The author, Hanna Johansen, has also written other books of this kind, although I haven't read them yet. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this book, even for those without a cat. I have also added a picture from Amazon.
