A few weeks have elapsed since our last issue was published. I apologize for the delay and take full responsibility. Time constraints have given me little time to organize, but as soon as the AP exams/monthly exams end, we shall resume our usual frequency.

I have had a bit of an epiphany over the last few days, and I'd like to share it with you. Our choices and our ability to choose are so often constrained by "the greater scheme" of things. Where we can choose and make a difference is only between options limited by the circumstances of our birth, origin, or nationality. It is fiction to say that all persons are born with equal opportunity. Working hard, you might be able to get ahead of your pack, but at the end of the day, there are just certain paths off-limits to you.

As I reflect on my own journey, I realize that my choices have been shaped by the opportunities and obstacles that have been placed in my path. I've come to understand that true freedom of choice is an illusion, and that our lives are often dictated by the circumstances of our upbringing. It's a harsh reality to face, but acknowledging it is the first step towards creating real change. By recognizing the limitations that have been imposed upon us, we can begin to challenge the systems that perpetuate inequality and strive for a more just and equal society. Only then can we truly begin to make choices that are unfettered by the biases of our past.
