Scandinavia has famously cold weather, but it must be noted that most people do not think of Denmark when they think of Scandinavia. The Danish weather is actually very different from that of Norway, for example. The term “Hvid jul” (White Christmas) is used when at least 90% of Denmark is covered in at least 0.5 cm of snow, and it happens very rarely. It is not unusual at all for some parts of Denmark to see almost no snow at all during December, in fact. So, snow is something most of us cherish, despite our love of complaining about the cold.
