Early in October, we Chinese celebrated the Chinese National Day. At this moment, we living in Nanchang gradually feel the presence of autumn in our midst. It is the falling raindrops that show that summer is finally gone. Everyone has to start putting on coats and say goodbye to shorts and skirts. Tempered by the continuous rain, the temperature has dropped considerably. That's a long process that continues for at least 3 months until the Chinese New Year, which seems to fall in the coldest time of the year. During this long autumn period, we students have no choice but to study hard. As time goes by, our outdoor activities are becoming fewer. For example, in summer we are free to ride a bike or walk around Qingshan Lake, one of the biggest lakes in Nanchang. However, in autumn, we have to stay at home or school, as those are the only two places we can move to and from. It seems that the only "sport" is the mad dash from our classrooms to the canteen for lunch or dinner, driven by an empty stomach. Seemingly unlikely, but badminton has indeed become increasingly popular with students in my class. It is badminton that allows us to get in touch with each other in the new term and bridge the gaps of not knowing others; It is badminton that is of vital significance in helping us grow up healthily both physically and mentally. It's also rare and incredible that we, as senior high school first-year students, have such persistence and interest in the sport! It's safe to say that with the weather getting bitterly colder, our interest in badminton will be dampened. Everybody can do this because of interest. Sometimes, interest is the best teacher. You are more likely to achieve higher scores when driven by interest. Likewise, you may develop a great aptitude for reading, swimming, dancing, and others due to various interests. In time, you are bound to make more lovely friends who share the same interests as you. In turn, this will contribute to your growth within a brilliant group and expand your horizons. Then, your original interest will be strengthened, and maybe new interests will be added to your life. It comes full circle! In short, life won't be filled with failure and unhappiness. Because of your interest, once you pursue it, you can succeed.
