World in Dishes
Ølkage, or “beer cake” through direct translation, is a cake with beer as the main ingredient and it is prepared with other normal ingredients you’d find in cakes. In Denmark it originated in Southern Jutland and it is eaten as bread, usually with a thin layer of butter.
